    B)  DNA

    D)  protein

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

Cyanophage is a virus that attacks blue-green algae (cyanobacteria). Safferman and Morris (1963) reported a virus infecting Lyngbya, Phormidium and Plectonema and named LPP- 1. Cyanophages are DNA viruses, their body consist of an icosahedral head and a long helical unit. Mycophages have RNA as genetic material. They attack fungi, majority of mycophages are typically isodiametic and possess segmented and double stranded RNA. DNA and RNA simultaneously never found in viruses. Proteins form the coat of virus called capsid.
