    C)                  lung alveoli

    D)                  blood

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

Venous sinusoids are lined by hepatic cells, endothelial and Kupffer cells (also known as reticulo endothelial cells). Kupffer cells are resident macrophages that line the sinusoids and are capable of phagocytizingbacteriod and other foreign matter in the hepatic sinus blood. Macrophages are present in spleen, which phagocytized foreign particles. Wall of alveoli through which exchange of gases occurs is a thin membrane. Comprising an inner lining of squamous epithelium resting upon a basal lamina and an outerlayer of connective tissue packed with capillary network. The connective tissue also contains a few   fibroblast,   macrophages,   alveolar phagocytes, lymphocytes etc and a fine elastin and reticulin fibre. Formed elements of blood are RBC, WBC and blood platelets. RBC contains haemoglobin, which imparts red colour to blood. WBCs are phagocytic in nature and blood platelets play important role in blood coagulation.
