Siliqua is an elongated cylindrical fruit, which develops from bicarpellary, bilocular superior ovary with parietal placentation and false septum or replum, which dehisces by two halves from base upwards, eg, mustard,  radish. Lomentum is many seeded, dry and simple fruit, which is constructed between the seeds, eg. Acacia, Mimosa, radish, tamarind. Silicula is a few seeded shortened and flattened siliqua, eg.
