    C)                  Polyalthia (ashok)

    D)                  None of the above

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Hypanthodium is a special type of inflorescence, which has a flask-shaped receptacle, a pore or ostiole lined by scales and a short canal bearing hair. Internally the receptacle bears male flower towards ostiole, female flowers towards base and sterile female flowers between the two, eg, Ficus (peepal, banyan, fig). In Brassica (cauliflower), compound corymb type of inflorescence is present. In this type, an axis bears a number of corymbs in corymbose fashions, eg, Pyrus.
