    A)  pepsin

    B)  ptyalin

    C)  trypsin

    D)  chymotrypsin.

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

: Ptyalin is a salivary enzyme that hydrolyses starch and glycogen to maltose and a small amount of glucose. Pepsin is the chief enzyme of gastric juice, which converts proteins into proteoses and peptones. Trypsin is a proteolytic enzyme formed in the intestine and catalyses hydrolysis of peptide bonds in partly digested proteins and some native proteins. The final products are amino acids and various polypeptides. Chymotrypsin is a proteolytic enzyme present in the intestine with trypsin and hydrolyses proteins to peptones or further.
