                    Purple colour of \[KMn{{O}_{4}}\] arises due to charge transfer by oxygen to \[Mn\]. In this way one of the oxygen is \[{{O}^{-}}\] and \[Mn\] charges from +VII to VI (with one unpaired electron in 3d).
