    C)  If Assertion is true statement but Reason is false, then mark

    D)  If both Assertion and Reason are false statements, then mark

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Haemophilia is a hereditary (X-linked recessive) disease in which blood fails to clot due to absence of     factor-VIII. Insertion of LINE transposable element into the factor VIII gene is responsible for this classic haemophilia. This disease is             also called haemophilia-A. Haemophilia-B or Christmas disease occurs due to factor IX plasma thromboplastin component) deficiency. Prothrombin producing platelets in such person are not found in very low concentration. So, assertion is true but reason is false.
