  • question_answer
The weight of one molecule of a compound \[{{C}_{60}}{{H}_{122}}\] is:

    A)  \[1.3\times {{10}^{-20}}g\]

    B)  \[5.01\times {{10}^{-21}}g\]

    C)         \[3.72\times {{10}^{23}}g\]

    D)        \[1.4\times {{10}^{-21}}g\]

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

    Molecular mass of \[{{C}_{66}}{{H}_{122}}\] is \[=(12\times 60+122\times 1)=842\] \[\Rightarrow \] Mass of \[6.023\times {{10}^{23}}\]  molecules of \[{{C}_{60}}{{H}_{122}}=384\] Mass of 1 molecule \[=\frac{842}{6.023\times {{10}^{23}}}\] \[=1.4\times {{10}^{-21}}g\]
