    The dimension of torque is:

    A) \[\frac{\Delta T}{T}\times 100=\left( \frac{{{T}_{2}}}{{{T}_{1}}}-1 \right)\times 100\]

    B)       \[=\frac{3}{2}\times 0.01\times 100\]

    C) \[=1.5%\]

    D) \[Y=3K(1-2\sigma )\]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

The moment of a force or the torque about an axis of rotation is equal to the product of the magnitude of the    force (F) and the perpendicular distance (r) of the line of action of force from the axis of rotation. \[\therefore \,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\tau =F\times r\]                       \[I={{I}_{1}}+{{I}_{2}}+2\sqrt{{{I}_{1}}{{I}_{2}}}\cos \phi \]  Dimensions of torque = Dimensions of force \[\cos \phi =-1\]Dimensions of distance \[\phi =\pi ,3\pi ,5\pi ,.................\] Note: Dimensions of torque are same as dimensions of energy and work.
