    Inflammation is a defensive response developed due tc damage tc the bod/f tissues. Histamines are released by mast cells in response to antigens (foreign particle). The release of histamine increases the permeability and dialation of blood capillaries. It results in edema (rwelling) and erythema (redness). It may also cause itching, sneezing, allergy and increased mucus secretion.
