    If some crops are repeated in a field then a specific mineral deficiency will arise due to continuous consumption of that mineral. So, to maintain soil fertility, crops is alternated with leguminous crops. Later have the symbiotic, bacterium Rhizobium in their root nodules which increases the nitrogen contents of the soil and hence, increases the soil fertility.
