In which type of material the magnetic susceptibility does not depend on temperature?

    A) Diamagnetic

    B) Paramagnetic

    C) Ferromagnetic

    D) Ferrite

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

The magnetic susceptibility of a material is a measure of the 'ease' with which a specimen  of that material can be magnetised in a magnetising field.  For a diamagnetic substance magnetic susceptibility \[({{\chi }_{m}})\] is independent of temperature. Note: According to Curie's law \[({{\chi }_{m}})\] for paramagnetic and ferromagnetic materials varies as \[{{\chi }_{m}}\propto \frac{1}{T},T\]being temperature in Kelvin.
