This cleavage occur in arthropods espicialy insects. In birds and reptiles discoidal meroblastic cleavage occurs where, divisions are confined to the cylopasmic disc at animal pole. In mammals, holoblasticclevageoccurs i. e., division of whole egg and not a part.
