                     Earthworms are monoecious or hermaphrodite with no self fertilization. Female sex organs of earthworm include one pair of ovary (segment 13), female genital pore (segment 14) and 4 pairs of spermathecal (segment 6, 7, 8, 9) which open outside on inter segmental groove 5/6, 6/7, 7/8, 8/9. Spermathecal are used to store sperms after copulation.
