     Volume of the soil dug out \[=~30\times 20\times 12=7200\text{ }{{m}^{3}}\] Volume of the earth spread (Area of the ground - Area of pond) \[\times \]height \[7200=(500\times 30-30\times 20)\times h\] \[7200=(15000-600)\,h\] \[\Rightarrow \,\,\,\,h=\frac{7200}{14400}=0.5m\] \[=\,\,\,\]
