    Let the age of Kapil \[=x\,yr\] \[\therefore \]      Varun's age \[=(42-x)yr\] \[\therefore \]      \[\frac{x+5}{(42-x+5)}=\frac{15}{11}\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[11x+5=705-15x\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[26x=650\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[x=25\] \[\therefore \]      Kapil's age \[=25\,yr\]
