    Solution :

    Given that \[{{n}_{1}}=40,\] \[{{x}_{1}}=Rs.\,4200,\] \[{{n}_{2}}=35,\] \[{{x}_{2}}=Rs.\,4000\] \[\therefore \]      \[\overline{x}=\frac{{{n}_{1}}{{x}_{1}}+{{n}_{2}}{{x}_{2}}}{{{n}_{1}}+{{n}_{2}}}\] \[\Rightarrow \]      \[=\frac{40\times 4200+35\times 4000}{40+35}\] \[\Rightarrow \]      \[=\frac{168000+140000}{75}\]    \[=\frac{308000}{75}=4106\frac{2}{3}\]
