Namrata's father is now four rimes her age. In five years, he will be three times her age in how many years, will he be twice her age?

    A) 5

    B) 20

    C) 25

    D) 15

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    Let age of Namrata\[=\,x\,yr\] \[\therefore \] Age of Namrata's father\[=\,4x\,yr\] According to question, \[4x+5=3(x+5)\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x=10\] \[\therefore \] Age of Namrata\[=10\,yr\] and age of Namrata's father\[=40\,yr\] Let after y yr her father will be twice her age. \[\therefore \]      \[\frac{10+y}{40+y}=\frac{1}{2}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[20+2y=40+y\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[y=20\,yr\]
