    Solution :

    Let the radius of the semicircle be x m. According to the question, \[\pi r+2r=\pi {{r}^{2}}=\pi +2=\pi \] \[r=\frac{\pi +2}{\pi }=1+\frac{2}{\pi }=1+\frac{14}{22}=1+\frac{7}{11}\] \[r=\frac{18}{11}\] \[\therefore \]      Diameter \[=2r=\frac{36}{11}=3\frac{3}{11}m\]
