If a man can walk to a place in \[4\frac{3}{4}h.\] walking at \[3\frac{1}{4}\text{km/h}\text{.}\] How long would it take an other man walking at \[3\frac{1}{6}\text{km/h}\] to walk there and back?

    A) \[9\frac{1}{4}h\]

    B) \[9\frac{3}{4}h\]

    C) \[9\frac{2}{3}h\]

    D) \[9\frac{1}{3}h\]

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    Distance walked by 2nd man \[=\frac{2\times 12\times 19}{4\times 4}\,\text{km}\] \[=\frac{13\times 19}{8}\,\text{km}\] \[\therefore \] Time taken by 2nd man             \[=\frac{\frac{13\times 19}{8}}{\frac{19}{6}}=\frac{39}{4}=9\frac{3}{4}h\]
