    Solution :

    Profit in year 2009-10 = Gross Traffic Receipt \[-\] To expenditure \[=8500-8000=500\] Therefore, profit per cent of Gross Traffic Receipt             \[=\frac{500}{8500}\times 100=5.9%\]
