    Solution :

    Let two numbers be x and y. \[\therefore \]      According to question,             \[x+y=14\]                                ? (i)             \[x-y=4\]                                   ? (ii) From Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get = 22 and \[y=18\] \[\therefore \]      Required ratio \[=\frac{22}{18}=\frac{11}{9}\]
