    A) Rs. 240

    B) Rs. 180

    C) Rs. 120

    D) Rs. 360

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Quantity of paint which is required \[=25+15%\,\,\text{of}\,\,25\] \[=25+\frac{25\times 15}{100}=28.75\,\,kg\] Since cans of paint is available of 2 kg \[\therefore \] A house owner should purchased 30 kg i.e., 15 cans. \[\therefore \] Cost of paint \[=15\times 16=Rs.\,240\]
