          Why do we need a Parliament? What is the composition of the Indian Parliament? 

Answer:

(a) (i) Parliament is the final authority for making laws. It also controls all the money that the government has been allocated.

(ii) It is the highest forum of discussion and debate on public issues and national policies.

(b) The Indian Parliament consists of the President and the two Houses of the Parliament known as the Council of State (Rajya Sabha) and House of the People (Lok Sabha).
