Direction: In the question three statements followed by two conclusions numbered and U. You have to take the given statements to be true even they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts. Lead all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts. Give answer
    Statements:     All solutions are liquids.
                            No liquid is a mixture.
                            All mixtures are matters.
Conclusions:    I. All solutions being matters is a possibility.
II. No solution is a mixture.

    A)  if only conclusion I follows.

    B)  if only conclusion II follows.

    C)  if either conclusion I or II follows.

    D)  if neither conclusion I nor II follows.

    E)  if both conclusions I and II follow.

    Correct Answer: E

    Solution :

All solutions are liquids  + No liquid is a mixture  = A + E = E = No solution is a mixture . Hence conclusion II follows. Now, No solution is a mixture  +A11 mixtures are matters  = E +A= O* = Some matters are not solutions. Hence the possibility in I exists. Hence conclusion I also follows.
