    Solution :

    Let Annual rate of interest = R%, then \[\frac{600\times R\times 4}{100}+\frac{600\times R\times 2}{100}=180\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[6R(4+2)=180\] \[\therefore \]    \[R=\frac{180}{36}=5%\]
