     Rate upstream \[=\left( \frac{10}{\frac{30}{60}} \right)=20\] kmph Rate downstream \[=\left( \frac{10}{\frac{25}{60}} \right)\] kmph \[=\frac{10\,\,\,\,\,60}{25}\] = 24 kmph. \[\therefore \]  Speed of the river current               \[=\frac{1}{2}(24\,\,\,\,\,\,20)=2\] kmph.
