    A) 9: 5: 3

    B) 9: 3: 5

    C) 5: 9: 3

    D) 10: 6: 5

    E) None of these

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    Here, 221 is divided among X, Y and Z.
    Let Z gets Rs. a.
    Then,    Y gets Rs. \[(a+26)\]
    and       X gets  Rs. \[(a+78)\]
    According to the question,
    \[a+a+26+a+78=221\]
    \[\Rightarrow \]               \[3a+104=221\]
    \[\Rightarrow \]               \[3a=117\]\[\Rightarrow \]\[a=39\]
    So, share of Z = Rs. 39
    Share of \[Y=Rs.(39+26)=Rs.\text{ }65\]
    Share of \[X=Rs.(39+78)=Rs.117\]
    \[\therefore \]Required ratio \[=117:65:39\]
    \[=9:5:3\]
