    Let the 100 kg sugar price be Rs. 100,
    If price of sugar raised by 25%.
    New price of 100 kg sugar\[=\frac{125}{100}\times 100=\text{Rs}\text{. 125}\]
    Price difference \[=125-100=25\]
    He has to reduce his consumption by
    \[\frac{25}{125}\times 100=20\]%
    Alternate Method
    Per cent decrease\[=\frac{a}{100+a}\times 100\]%
    Here, \[a=25\]
    \[=\frac{25}{100+25}\times 100=\frac{25}{125}\times 100=20\]%
