    Solution :

    \[\therefore \] Required distance \[=xy\,\frac{({{t}_{1}}+{{t}_{2}})}{y-x}\]
                            \[=\frac{3\times \frac{5}{2}\times (6+10)}{3-5/2}\]
                            \[=\frac{15}{2}\times \frac{16}{60}\times \frac{2}{1}=4\,km\]
