The number 40500 is said to end in two zeroes. How many zeroes are in the end of \[({{5}^{1999}}\times {{2}^{1998}}\times {{10}^{2000}})\]?

    A) 1999

    B) 2000

    C) 3998

    D) 3999

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

[c] When 2 is multiplied by 5, a zero occurs. Since the number of 2 is 1998, there will be 1998 zeroes, and m I02000, there are 2000 zeroes. Hence, there are 2000 + 1998 i.e. 3998 zeroes.
