    [b] Leaking pipe empties in one hour \[=\frac{1}{8}\] of the tank Work done by the leaking pipe and filling pipe in one hour \[=\frac{1}{12}\]. \[\therefore \] Work done by a filling pipe in one hour             \[=\frac{1}{8}-\frac{1}{12}=\frac{1}{24}\] \[\Rightarrow \] Filling pipe can fill the tank in 24 hrs with the speed of 6 litres per minute. \[\therefore \] Capacity of the tank \[=\left( 24\times 60\times 6 \right)\]Litres = 8640 Litres
