    Solution :

    If L is natural length of spring then, \[5\,\,=\,\,K\left( A\,\,-\,\,L \right)\]                                    ? (i) and       \[4=\,\,K\left( B\,\,-\,\,L \right)\]                            ? (ii)                                          [k is spring constant] On solving Eqs. (i) and (ii) We have\[k=\frac{1}{A-B}\]and         \[\operatorname{L}=5B\,\,-\,\,4A\] When same spring is loaded with 9 N and x is extension, then \[\operatorname{kx} =9\] \[\Rightarrow \,\,\,\,\,\,x=\frac{I}{k}=9\left( A-B \right)\] \[\operatorname{Length} =L+x=\left( 5B-4A \right)+\left( 9A-9B \right)\] \[=\,\,5A\,\,-\,\,4B\]
