If a glass jar is filled with two non-mixing liquids A and B having densities \[{{D}_{A}}\,\,and\,\,{{D}_{B}}\] respectively. A solid cylinder made of a material of density \[{{D}_{C}}\] is dropped in the jar, it comes to equilibrium position as shown f figure. Which of the following relation is true for densities?

    A) \[\]  \[{{\operatorname{D}}_{A}}>{{D}_{C}}>{{D}_{B}}\]

    B)  \[{{\operatorname{D}}_{A}}={{D}_{B}}>{{D}_{C}}\]

    C)  \[{{\operatorname{D}}_{A}}<{{D}_{C}}>{{D}_{B}}\]

    D)  \[{{\operatorname{D}}_{A}}>{{D}_{C}}>{{D}_{B}}\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

As liquid A is above liquid B So,      \[{{D}_{B}}>{{D}_{A}}\] and solid cylinder sinks in liquid A So,      \[{{D}_{C}}>{{D}_{A}}\] also solid cylinder does not sink in liquid B So,      \[{{D}_{C}}<{{D}_{B}}\] So, option  is correct option.
