    Applied potential difference is same \[\Rightarrow \]  \[{{R}_{series}}=2\,R\] and  \[{{R}_{parallel}}=R/2\] As,         Power \[=\frac{{{V}^{2}}}{R}\]                 \[{{P}_{series}}\propto \frac{1}{2R}\]                 \[{{P}_{parallel}}\propto \frac{1}{(R/2)}\]                 \[\frac{{{P}_{series}}}{{{P}_{parallel}}}=\frac{1}{2R}\times \frac{R}{2}=\frac{1}{4}\]
