    Solution :

    Let the number be x. Then, \[\frac{3}{4}x-\frac{3}{14}x=150\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{21x-6x}{28}=150\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[15x=28\times 150\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x=\frac{28\times 150}{15}=280\]
