    Solution :

    Let the number if wickets taken by the cricketer before the last match = x According to the question \[=\frac{12.4x+26}{x+5}=122\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[12.4x+26=12.2x+61\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[0.2x=61-26=35\] \[\therefore \]                  \[x=\frac{35}{0.2}=\frac{350}{2}=175\]
