    Solution :

       When the two iron shots are immersed in water, it will displace water equal to its volume. Let the water be raised in the vessel by x cm \[\therefore \]      \[2\times \frac{4}{3}\times \pi {{(3)}^{3}}=\pi \times {{(6)}^{2}}\times x\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[72\pi =36\pi x\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[x=\frac{72}{36}=2\,\,cm\]
