Solution :

Let the man's income be Rs. x.

According to the question,

\[x-\frac{x}{3}-\frac{2x}{5}-\frac{1x}{5}=400\]

\[\Rightarrow \] \[x\left( 1-\frac{1}{3}-\frac{2}{5}-\frac{1}{5} \right)=400\]

\[\Rightarrow \] \[x\left( \frac{15-5-6-3}{15} \right)=400\]

\[\Rightarrow \] \[x\times \frac{1}{15}=400\]

\[\therefore \] \[x=15\times 400\]= Rs. 6000
