       The length and breadth of a rectangle are changed x and y percent respectively, then the net change \[\left( x+y+\frac{xy}{100} \right)%,\] where positive and negative signs show increase and decrease respectively. Net change \[=-10+10-\frac{10\times 10}{100}=-1%\]
