    Solution :

    If A covers the distance of 1 km in x s, B covers the distance of 1 km in \[(x+25).\]s. If A covers the distance of 1 km, then in the same time C covers only 725 m. If B covers 1 km in \[(x+25).\]s, then C covers 1 km in \[(x+55)\]s. Thus in x s, C covers the distance of 725 m.             \[\therefore \]      \[\frac{x}{725}\times 1000=x+55\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[x=145\] \[\therefore \] A covers the distance of I km in 2 min 25 s.
