    Solution :

    Let the weekly incomes of A and B are Rs. 9x and Rs. 7x and their expenditures be Rs. 4y and Rs.  3y. According to the given condition, \[9x-4y=\text{Rs}\text{.}\,\,200\]            ...(i) and       \[7x-3y=\text{Rs}\text{.}\,\,200\]            ...(ii) From Eq. (i) and (ii), \[x\]= Rs. 200 and \[y\]= Rs. 400 \[\therefore \] The sum of their weekly incomes \[=9x+7x\] \[=16x=16\times 200\]= Rs. 3200
