    Solution :

    Let the cost price of 1 book be Rs. x. \[\therefore \]Cost price of 3 books = Rs.3x and Cost price of 12 books = Rs. 12x Selling price of 12 books = Rs.1800 \[\therefore \]      Rs. 12 x + Rs. 3 x = Rs. 1800 \[\Rightarrow \]   15x = 1800 \[\therefore \]      \[x=\frac{1800}{15}=120\] The cost price of each book = Rs. 120
