The current through \[10\,\,\Omega \] resistor in the circuit given below is (the diodes are ideal)

    A) zero

    B) \[0.02\]

    C) \[0.03\]

    D) \[0.036\]

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

\[\therefore \,\Delta \ge 0\Rightarrow 81-72b\ge 0\Rightarrow b\le \frac{9}{8}\] is reverse biased. As it is an  ideal diode, its resistance is infinite and no current flows through it. \[S=\frac{n}{2}\,[16+4(n-1)];\,\,T=\frac{n}{2}\,[34\,+2\,(n-1)\,]\] is forward biased. As it is an ideal diode, its resistance is zero and hence, the current through \[\therefore \,\,S-T=0\Rightarrow \,16+4n-4=34\,+2n-2\]  resistor is: \[\Rightarrow \,\,4n+12=32+2n\]
