    A ray is incident at an angle of \[20{}^\circ \] to a plane mirror as shown in figure. If mirror is rotated by \[10{}^\circ \] in anticlockwise direction and incident ray is rotated by \[10{}^\circ \] in clockwise direction then through what angle the reflected ray will turn?

    B) \[10{}^\circ \], anticlockwise                     

    C) \[30{}^\circ \], anticlockwise    

    D)  \[10{}^\circ \], clockwise

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

    Due to rotation of mirror, the reflected ray will rotate by \[20{}^\circ \] in anticlockwise direction and due to rotation of incident ray, the reflected ray will rotate by \[10{}^\circ \] in anticlockwise direction, so net rotation = \[30{}^\circ \] anticlockwise.
