    All the companies produce Washing machines, Mobile phones, AC and LED only.
    Total production of electronic items = 24 lakh
    The pie-chart given below shows the percentage break-up of production of washing machines during 2016
    Total washing machines produced = 4.5 lakh
     

    In addition to the data related to washing machines it is known that 40% of the electronic items produced by Sony are LEDs. If the remaining items are ACs and mobile phones which are in the ratio of 5 : 7, then what approximate percentage of electronic items produced by Sony are mobile phones?

    A)  25.8%             

    B)    22.1%

    Electronic items produced by Sony = 15% of 24 lakh == 360000 LEDs = 360000\[\times \]\[\frac{40}{100}=144000\] \[\therefore \] Washing machines = 16% of 4.5 lakh = 72000 \[\therefore \] Remaining AC and Mobile phones (360000 - (144000 + 72000)) = 144000 Mobile phones produced \[=144000\times \frac{7}{12}=84000\] \[\therefore \] Reqd % \[=\frac{84000}{360000}\times 100=23.3%\]
