    A) 29 : 36

    B) 195 : 229

    C)        79 : 69

    D)        167 : 273

    E)        None of these

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Let the female population of town V and X be equal. Then, Females population (let)\[\overset{V}{\mathop{100}}\,\overset{X}{\mathop{100}}\,\] Female graduate population of\[V=70%=70\] Now, female postgraduates in Town\[V=30%\] of \[70=21\] Non-postgraduate female population in Town \[V=100-21=79\] Female graduate population in Town\[X=62\] Again, female postgraduates in Town \[X=50%\] of\[62=31\] Non-postgraduate females in Town \[X=100-31=69\] \[\therefore \]Required ratio\[=79:69\]
