    [d] Acrylic fibres are synthetic fibres made from a polymer average molecular weight of Rs.100000 about 1900 monomer units. To be called acrylic in the US the polymer must contain atleast 85% acrylonitrile monomer. Acrylic is also called fabric. As it resembles silk, it is also called artificial silk.
