    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

[b] The Peninsular drainage system is older than the Himala'.-and system and is characterised by largely graded shallow valleys and the maturity of the rivers. The Narmada and the Tapi flow in trough faults and fill the original cracks with their detritus materials. Therefore, there is a lack of alluvial and deltaic deposits in these rivers. The Godavari is the largest river of Peninsular river system and is also called Dakshin Ganga.
