    Solution :

[b] Law Commission of India (LCI) is a non-statutory and non-constitutional body but is an executive body established by an order of the Union Government. It is generally constituted for three years to work on legal reforms. The first law commission was constituted in 1834 but the first law commission of independent India was constituted in 1955 under the chairmanship of MC Setalvad and reconstituted every three years since 1955. It is a convention that a retired judge of Supreme Court heads India's Law Commission. The secretary of Department of legal affairs is ex-officio member of the commission. LCI is inspired by various parts of constitutions like FRs, DPSPs particularly Article 39A. The 20th LCI was constituted in 2012 under the chairmanship by justice AP Shah, former Chief Justice of Delhi High court and the 21st Law commission was constituted in 2015 for three years.
